POEA allows documentation of OFWs returning to Iraq

After imposing a total ban in 2020 following the raising of the alert status to Alert Level 4 by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration has now allowed the return of overseas Filipino workers to Iraq.

POEA clarifies definition of “balik-manggagawa"

Filipinos based in the Philippines who are rendering online services for overseas employers and are leaving to assume their jobs abroad for the first time are not qualified for the issuance of overseas employment certificate (OEC) for balik- manggagawa or returning workers.
